Save the date: Transnational Seminar: Strategies for managing and preventing drought impacts in forests in the Sudoe Mountains

We are pleased to announce that the MONTCLIMA SUDOE project is organizing a seminar on Strategies for managing and preventing drought impacts in forests in the SUDOE mountains that will take place in Barcelona on 30th September 2021.

This transnational seminar will focus on sharing knowledge and experiences concerning good practices on drought management and prevention strategies in SUDOE forests in order to contribute to forest drought management policies. It will also be an opportunity to present the progress of the MONTCLIMA Project and objectives.

Registration will take place via this registration form. It will be possible to attend the seminar in a completely virtual way. The Seminar will be held in the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (c/Carme 47, Barcelona) and will include a field visit to MONTCLIMA pilot experience in the afternoon. Registration includes coffee break, an informal lunch and the transportation to the field visit.

Registration for participation in the seminar in person will close on Monday, 27 September, at 9 p.m. Registration for virtual participation will be open until the start of the seminar

Spanish, French and Portuguese simultaneous translation will be provided.

OBJETIVE

This thematic seminar pusues to share knowledge and experiences concerning good practices on drought management and prevention strategies in SUDOE forests witf the objetive to contribute to forest drought management and prevention policies.

The progresses of the MONTCLIMA project will be presented specificcaly the pilot case estudies in order to improve governance and natural risks management through trasnational cooperation and the development of a risk management and prevention common strategy.
